Postmark $15/10k is the cleanest transactional-only bill; Mailgun Basic $15/10k suits API-first teams needing validations. SendGrid Essentials is viable once marketing journeys join transactional. MailerSend's free 500/mo tier covers testing before any paid plan.
10k–50k sends/month
Mailgun Foundation ($35/50k) is the API-value pick. Postmark scales linearly at $1.80/1k — predictable but pricier than Foundation at the top of this band. Brevo Starter from $9 suits budget multi-channel senders.
